I have a friend who can still do it as a W/E (non-Armor of Earth), but he says it's difficult enough now that it really isn't worth it to kill them anymore & that he just skips to the smites.

In my experience the ecto drop rate is better if you kill (almost) all aaxtes and smites. I have done 3 runs so far with Mo/Me scythe build and gotten 3 ectos everytime. Sure the aaxtes go slow with IW but the grasps and smites go down very very easy. Also have I read some of the posts in this thread and I keep hearing from people that they don't get a single ecto. So it might be true that the ecto droprate will be higher when you kill all aaxtes and smites. For people that don't understand this: If you kill all the aaxtes in the beginning you will have more chance of gettig an ecto at the smites. Also, if you go back after doing the smites and kill some remaining aaxtes in other chambers the chance on ecto will be fairly high. I've heard of multiple people saying this so I didn't just make this up.

I would think it was obvious that you have a higher chance of getting an ecto if you kill more enemies...

Is it just me, but when I timed the W/mes vs. W/rit farming build it seems that they both take 30mins to complete one run. I perfer the W/rit because you practically use any armor and weapons.

You'll have a higher chance PER every Aaxte or Smite. So the percentage of the ecto chance will be higher with every enemie.

Counter Attack
Healing Signet
Sprint
You take 0's, and since Whirling is your only adrenal skill, you can non stop spam it. You could probably replace HS with Flail and take all points out of tactics and put into Axe.
Anyways, use a zealous axe (must), against the Darkness' you don't have to use PR. Against smites just put up enchant, PR and DS, and go crazy.

Think triple chop would be a good skill to add in there? Was looking at it and with such a high amount of axe mastery it looks like it'd do some good.

Well, first of all GREAT job on this build. I've always been a fan of your farming-guides. Remember your mineral springs farming guide about a year ago? I LOVED it...
Anyway, on topic:
Given the input in this thread I tweaked this build a little and currentliy I'm using this
[skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill][skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Quivering Blade[/skill][skill]Counterattack[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill]
See it as an alternative using sword, works like a charm
Cheers!

Could you maybe repost that other picture with instructions? For those of us who can't view videos.
As for attributes,. your seem to fluctuate drastically. Could you maybe give more concrete suggestion for atts, instead of 9+, Rest in Str? Like, whats a good minimum for Str?
With 11 Illus and 8 Insp, there can't be many Str pts left for Dolyak.... And 8 pts into Insp seems like a monstrous waste.

Triple Axe and Whirling Axe are both elites. Since Whirling is much more spammable then Triple, it' better. It's the best elite to use in the build imo.

Having trouble aggroing grasping darknesses, wasted 3k so far
So I cast SV first, followed by sprint then I aggro with bow and run away?
Edit: Got it! The trick is activating sv and sprint before you aggro

@Bewn: So does that build work just the same way as dont feel no pains'? Does it require different sets of weapons? I'm much more interested in a sword build, since my warrior majors in swords, but can do axes too.

I use this build to kill Grasping Darknesses and Smites, so yeah, it's pretty much like Don't Feel No Pain's build. I don't know if Chaos Planes are possible, didn't try it yet
as for gear/attribute point allocation:
the shield can be bought from him and the Sword is a collector's reward from this dude modded with an enchant upgrade, so my gear is by no menas perfect and there are a lot of options for shield and sword, but it works and it's easy
For armor, I use Full Knights with +1 Strength Helm with Sup Strength-, Swordmanship- and Absorptionrune, High Vigor and Minor Tactics
right now, I'm testing, whether it's possible to substitude Healing Sig for Lions Comfort. If that works, I could ditch the points in tactics and raise Swordmanship and/or Illusionmagic but I'm not sure how hard the "Disable all signets for 12 secs" would impact on Dolyak though im confident it might work...
